THE OMNIPRESENCE OF GOD

"Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." This verse from Jeremiah (23:24) clearly states the omniscience and omnipresence of God. There are many more instances in the Bible where the ever-presence of God is recorded.

To be conscious of the presence of God we must first understand Him. Mary Baker Eddy has made God clearer and brought Him nearer to human thought. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" she defines God thus (p. 587): "The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence." This definition corresponds with the Scriptures, in which God is made known as Life, Truth, Love, Spirit.

If God is All-in-all, He is, then, All-presence. Naturally, it follows that Love, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Principle, and Mind, which are synonyms for God, are All-presence also.
