"SKILL IN COMFORT'S ART"
In the fifteenth chapter of John's Gospel we read this promise of Jesus (15:26): "When the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." This promised Comforter has been revealed to us in its celestial beauty and presence by Mary Baker Eddy. It is divine Science, the unfoldment of Truth, Life, and Love, which is today being demonstrated as the glorious healing and saving power for the world.
This divine Science, this Comforter, known also as the Holy Ghost, is the activity of divine Love establishing itself in human consciousness, and wiping out, step by step, all the ills of the flesh. At the conclusion of her autobiography (Retrospection and Introspection, p. 95), Mrs. Eddy quotes a poem by A. E. Hamilton which in substance summarizes the nature of her own career, in which she so beautifully demonstrated the power and healing activity of divine Science. It reads:
