When Christian Science was first presented to me, I accepted it wholeheartedly, not because I felt in need of physical healing at the time, but because of the great joy it awakened in my heart. Here was a religion that would solve all the problems of mankind which had appeared so incapable of being resolved. This joyous conviction has remained through all the years since.

After some months of attendance at a Church of Christ, Scientist, and study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, I began to make use of the truths which I was learning by healing physical difficulties for myself and for others when asked by them. I was quickly healed of influenza, crushed fingers, tonsillitis, bronchitis, colds, and many other ailments.

A tumor, which doctors said should be removed immediately by surgery, disappeared as my consciousness was cleansed of flashes of resentment, intolerance, criticism, and other unlovely traits. Solution of business problems has been experienced. I was guided successfully through a difficult piece of work by holding persistently to the following statement by Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, p. 326): "Working and praying with true motives, your Father will open the way."
