RADIO PROGRAM No. 88 - A Healing of Multiple Sclerosis

On this program Herbert Schoenhof of Flushing, New York, told of his own experience, as follows:

A short time after my discharge from the United States Navy, following the Second World War, I began to have several very strange symptoms. When I consulted competent medical men, they told me I had multiple sclerosis. They said this was incurable and would lead me to a steady physical disintegration. The picture they painted was a grim one.

Then two doctors agreed to try the newly discovered wonder drugs, cortisone and ACTH. After a long siege of daily injections for about one year, I was told that these would not cure me. They suggested that I keep up the treatment, as it might slow up the wasting effect on the muscles until a cure might be discovered. This news, on top of the lack of success of diathermy and other electrical treatments, left me very discouraged and depressed.
