Some thirty years ago I told a friend, whom I knew to be a Christian Scientist, that I had a nervous headache, called migraine, and that the pain was terrific. She lovingly answered, "Headaches are mental poisoning." As I pondered those words the headache left. To my surprise, it never returned. Later I called her and asked her how she had healed me. She said: "I didn't do it. God did it." She invited me to go with her to a Wednesday testimony meeting at a Church of Christ, Scientist, and I gladly accepted the invitation. I will never forget the wonderful inspiration I felt when I saw those three words "God is Love" on the wall above the platform.

When the testimonies were given, I felt as though chains were dropping from my body, I later found that I had been healed of streetcar sickness, self-consciousness, sensitiveness, nervousness, and a bad temper. No one can imagine the great joy I felt at this relief. To find out more about the light of Truth I had glimpsed, I went to the church service every Sunday and to the testimony meeting every Wednesday evening. Also I attended all the Christian Science lectures in the vicinity. Our children were enrolled in the Sunday School, and they experienced some wonderful healings.

Our daughter fell on an icy street one evening as she was coming home from work. Her first thought was: There is no accident in Truth. When she got up, her arm felt limp, but she walked on home. A practitioner was called, and prayerful work was done. She went to bed and arose the next morning free. No pain whatsoever had been experienced all the while.
