It is with deep gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Certainly "man's extremity is God's opportunity," and those who trust Him find that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). Christian Science was presented to me by a neighbor at a time when I was thoroughly discouraged because of the condition of a young member of the family who was suffering from St. Vitus's dance. A specialist had been in attendance for more than a year, paying daily visits, but the child grew steadily worse.

It was at this time of desperate need that I decided to try Christian Science. I telephoned a practitioner and took the child to her office, where we were lovingly received. Prayerful treatment was given, and when we were coming down the stairs the child declared that he was very happy. After one more treatment he was healed, and he has remained entirely free.

Another member of the family was instantaneously healed of sunstroke. I myself have had many beautiful healings, among them one of diabetes, said to be incurable, and another of a misplaced organ. In Psalms it is written (121:1), "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help." I found that when I lifted my thoughts to God my body became normal.
