For many years I have enjoyed the wonderful benefits that the study of Christian Science bestows. Now it seems right that I should give a written testimony of some of the many healings that I have experienced.

After years of nervous tension, financial lack, and unhappy family conditions I had reached a point where life did not seem worth living. I was filled with resentment against circumstances. This mental condition resulted in chronic indigestion, gall bladder trouble, and recurring attacks of small abscesses on my arms and chest.

I had been slightly familiar with Christian Science for many years, but I had felt that it was of no use to me. In my extremity I at last became willing to accept the help of a Christian Science practitioner who was staying at the summer school where I was working. I went to this practitioner's room every evening, and she talked with me. The only thing I can remember concerning those talks is that I had great difficulty in keeping awake. Mortal mind was whispering, "Don't listen."
