THE RICH YOUNG MAN
Matthew 19:21, 22
Sell
all I had? He asked too much.
Earth's riches still meant more
Than promises of treasure
On heaven's distant shore!
Ah, blind, blind eyes that did not see
The heavenly kingdom here;
Nor heard aright his loving words
That brought its riches near!
He did not strip all loveliness
Or joy from paths I trod;
He only taught good must be seen
And sought and found in God.
