Activities for the Armed Services

Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services received the following letter from an officer in the United States Navy stationed in Pennsylvania:

I am writing this letter to express my gratitude and appreciation for the wonderful help that I have received from a Christian Science Minister for the Armed Services, who stood by me during a very trying experience.

Several months ago the United States Navy notified me that I had been selected for promotion. About a week following this announcement I underwent a physical examination. In this were included X rays to investigate a past illness. After the X rays I was informed that I had a stomach ulcer and would have to be hospitalized.
