LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION
Free Press
Free Press Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
Dealing with an address made at Edmonton ... [an issue of your paper] carries a Canadian press dispatch quoting in part [a bishop] ... as stressing the mission of the church "to teach, to preach, and to heal."
[The bishop's] address ... included, according to this report, an urgent need for closer co-operation between the church and medicine which the speaker said is developing in many places at the top level. Also, that to "ignore medicine as do Christian Scientists and some faith healers is dangerous and irresponsible." On this portion of the address I wish to comment and state some facts.
