Over thirty years ago a Christian Scientist who was employed in the same office I was in attracted my attention to Science. The way she lived this religion made me wonder how anyone could be so loving. Some time later, while suffering from an internal infection, I found a Sentinel and began to read it. I read and reread it for three days, and while doing so I was healed. My joy and gratitude knew no bounds.

Christian Science has helped me in the bringing up of our two children. Whenever problems came along, they were overcome in a very short time. For instance, through the help of a practitioner our son was healed of pneumonia in less than a week. When this son was eighteen years of age, he became paralyzed in his lower limbs. At my husband's request a medical doctor was called, and he diagnosed the condition as a cyst on the spine. He said the case was an urgent one and that the boy would have to be operated on the next day.

When the doctor left I asked our son whether he wanted medical help or Christian Science treatment. He decided on Christian Science treatment, and I asked a practitioner to help him. In addition, I declared that he was a child of God, therefore perfect, and that Love removes all impurities. That night our son slept soundly. When he awoke the next morning he was well. The cyst had opened and drained.
