I became interested in Christian Science about twenty years ago, after a number of physicians told my husband and me that they had done all they could for one of our children, a boy of twelve years, who had been very ill for over a year. Some of them diagnosed his condition as a severe case of arthritis; others were puzzled by it. I did not give up hope, but prayed more earnestly and fervently to our heavenly Father than I had ever prayed before in all my life.

A few days later a Christian Science friend called on me, and during our conversation she asked me if I would like to try Christian Science for my son. I told her I would try anything that would help him, and she assured me that Science would. A few days later she brought me a Sentinel and a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I read to my son every spare minute during the day and into the night. In addition, I asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. A beautiful and complete healing came some months later. My son is now grown and married, and both he and his wife are active in a branch church in the city where they reside.
