PRAYER FOR THE WORLD

Constant ray of Science,
Beam of living light!
Flood the mourner's sadness
With Love's healing might.

From the thrall of sickness
Free the slumbering mind,
Give Soul's pure, unclouded
Vision to the blind.

Pierce the walls of silence
For the deafened ears.
Quell all selfish fancies,
Calm all childish fears.

Break the strange enchantment
Of the sinner's dream;
Sound salvation's trumpet
With Truth's heavenly theme.

Fill with peace the chaos
Where the lost sheep roam.
In the dawn of Spirit
Lead earth's pilgrims home.
