Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Sebastopol, California (First Church).

The Christian Scientists in this community dedicated their new church edifice. The auditorium was filled for both of the services, which were held at eleven in the morning and three in the afternoon. Visitors came from San Francisco, Oakland, San Rafael, Santa Rosa, Petaluma, and neighboring communities.

On Thanksgiving Day, 1908, the first Christian Science service in Sebastopol, California, was held in rooms provided for this purpose in the National Bank Building. In October, 1914, a small residence on Bodega Avenue was purchased, and services were held in this building until 1921.
