I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. For more than forty years it has been in our family. My father was healed of the drinking habit in one treatment. His healing caused our family to begin the study of Science for the solution of our problems.

My sister and I attended the Christian Science Sunday School until we reached the age of twenty. We were healed of children's diseases, including measles and mumps. I have had many blessings and healings through the study and application of Christian Science. Some have come through the aid of practitioners, others through help from the Bible, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the periodicals, or the Christian Science Hymnal.

While still new in Christian Science my mother healed me of influenza, accompanied by excessive sleeping. Two other healings came about through my own application of the truth as revealed in Christian Science. One was of a painful and swollen foot. I was expressing much fear and resentment at that time, and I realized that my mental condition had to be corrected. When I replaced the wrong thoughts of fear and hatred with courage, love, and forgiveness, I was completely healed without even knowing when the healing took place. This healing proved the truth of this statement in Science and Health (p. 194), "When one's false belief is corrected, Truth sends a report of health over the body."
