Having received much help from the testimonies in our periodicals and at the Wednesday testimony meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, I should like to express my gratitude for having been led to Christian Science. I had never thought such a thing would happen to me, first because I was a physician, and secondly because I felt more or less satisfied with philosophy as a sort of religion.

Indeed, all went well with me until I became stricken with arthritis. One day a patient came to me with a condition which, according to medical opinion, generally takes considerable time to be cured. After my first treatment the patient was told to return within two or three days. The next day this person returned healed. In answer to my questions I was told that on the previous day, when the condition had become increasingly painful, a friend had induced the sufferer to call on a Christian Science practitioner. And here before my eyes was the result: a complete healing literally overnight.

I was impressed, but inclined to forget the incident until some time later when my wife referred to this case and mentioned that I might go and see the practitioner for my own condition. Partly out of curiosity I went, though not without some degree of reserve.
