As the years go by, my gratitude for my first healing in Christian Science increases. This healing has never ceased to inspire and encourage me in my endeavors. I am most grateful to God, the Giver of all good, for leading me to Christian Science at that time. It was most needed then, for I had been away from my family for months in a tuberculosis sanatorium.

When our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was presented to me, I was in such a weakened condition that it had to be propped up on the bed for me to read. After a practitioner was called and prayerful work was done, I immediately arose and dressed myself, something which I had not been able to do for months. Through the practitioner's faithful work, and consecrated study on my part, I soon realized that there could be no deterioration in spiritual consciousness. The healing was complete, and it has been permanent.

Since this experience there have been many other proofs of God's healing power. In the rearing of two daughters I have seen healings of pneumonia, influenza, mumps, appendicitis, and a severe case of rheumatic fever. During the last-named experience it was realized that not hatred but Love is supreme and that true circulation is spiritual. Then the condition was healed. This demonstration of Truth, which took me a step forward spiritually, has certainly proved what our Leader states in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
