It is with great gratitude that I recall my first healing in Christian Science. It took place more than thirty years ago when I was suffering from a painful case of appendicitis. My mother, who was a Christian Scientist, telegraphed for help to a friend who was a practitioner. This friend gave me absent treatment. The pain ceased almost immediately, and all the accompanying symptoms disappeared.

A few years later I had a severe attack of internal hemorrhages. Again I had Christian Science help, and again I experienced a quick healing. The next difficulty which had to be overcome by the truth was a bladder complaint. The healing of this condition took more time, but I am very grateful for the lessons I learned. In the intervening years I have experienced many blessings and have enjoyed health.

I am deeply grateful to the practitioner for the help she has given me in the working out of my problems. With gratitude and love I think of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave a religion of active Christian discipleship to mankind.
