About seven years ago my wife was very ill with bronchial asthma. The doctor gave her medicine, but she only grew worse. Both the doctor and I became alarmed over her condition.

In my boyhood days I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School for two years, and some things that I learned there never left me, especially what I heard about healing through prayer. I told my wife of this and asked her if she would like to have Christian Science treatment. She said she would do anything to get well. I telephoned a practitioner, who at once quieted my alarm by reminding me that God is man's Life and that "in him we live, and move, and have our being" (Acts 17:28). She also quoted this passage from the Bible (Isa. 41:10): "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." My wife was completely healed in three days. Since then she and I have experienced many other beautiful healings.

I thank God, who has sustained us and shown us the path of Christian Science, the way of our Master, Christ Jesus, which has now been made plain through Mrs. Eddy's revelation of Truth.
