Since my first testimony appeared in the Sentinel of September 10, 1938. I have had added proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science. A number of years ago a fistula appeared on my body. As time went on it grew very alarming. I studied, pondered, and applied the truths of being revealed to us in our textbook, Science and Health by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. This work enabled me to establish in my consciousness a clearer understanding of my relationship to our Father-Mother God. During this time I had help on different occasions from Christian Science practitioners, but for the most part I did my own prayerful metaphysical work.

The healing did not take place in a short time. It was not accomplished until I realized the condition to be the result of my accepting as real an erroneous concept. I had become dissatisfied and resentful because I had to remain in a home which I thought was inadequate for our family of four. Through an awakened sense of gratitude for the least expression of good appearing in my daily experience this attitude was overcome, and I finally realized the complete healing of the physical condition.

The value of Christian Science in working out a business problem was beautifully exemplified in the following experience. In his will my grandfather had divided his estate among his three daughters. When he was at a very advanced age one of the daughters prevailed upon him to change his will by falsely terming me a niece instead of a granddaughter, thus excluding me as the rightful heir of my mother, who had passed on. This wording forfeited my status in the division of the property, as deeds to it were made out to the two daughters in accordance with the will.
