Extending the Activities of Our Movement
[Note: Extracts from a report to the Reading Room Division from the librarian of a jointly maintained Reading Room]
Houston, Texas (Jointly Maintained)
In the beginning of our work as a newly established Christian Science Reading Room, we saw the great practical value of cooperating with the branch church lecture committees in this area. Our Reading Room, because of its advantageous location, has a wonderful opportunity to acquaint the general public with local lecture information.
Early in this work it was usually necessary to call the church sponsoring the lecture and ask for placards and invitation cards. This year we have been eagerly supplied.
