LOVE BUILDS GOD'S HOUSE

Love builds God's house and keeps it fair.
His timeless plan
reveals the grandeur of creative Mind;
the power of Love's ideas to bind
in fellowship secure,
to heal the stranger in the gates, to see
and then pursue,
not human will or men's device
but humble ways that bear the signet of His grace
and show the tender Christ.

This frame, this spire and builder's stone—
these write upon the earth glad tidings
of God's love,
are sign and symbol of a swelling voice
within a multitude of chastened hearts,
attesting reconstructed lives, built to endure,
on solid masonry of Love.

Line laid to line, and squared with laws of Love;
exact the measure of a pure design.

Love builds God's house, and Love must be
its keeper and its heartbeat
and its song.

Press on with Love!

Occupy with Love the farthest corners;
keep the wine press of holy inspiration;
gather in the fruits of conquered self.

Bring in the sheaves
and sing the harvest song with joy
, Love is our God.

Then will they hear; then will the stranger come
with hope renewed, the hurt and lonely ones,
reaching for Love, yearning for the divine touch
that knows its God.
