"All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal." This statement on page 151 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy proved very helpful in my experience. I was suffering intense pain and nausea, a condition that had defied treatment by a practitioner as well as my own prayerful work.

It was necessary to withdraw from the presence of sympathetic relatives, who strongly advised that I go to a hospital. When I was alone I turned to God with all my heart, willing to trust Him at all costs. The quotation referred to at the beginning of this testimony was held to as the true facts, regardless of error. Finally I fell asleep, and I awakened well and rejoicing.

In "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy says (p. 151), "God is our Father and our Mother, our Minister and the great Physician: He is man's only real relative on earth and in heaven." How comforting this was to me during the experience. I know that Christian Science is the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus and the truth which he said would make us free. It is wonderful to know that one is on the right road, "the way," and is able to help others on this way also.
