Much good has come into my experience as a result of my study of Christian Science, and I gratefully submit this testimony to the glory of God.

An ice pick which I was using slipped and went through my hand in the area between the thumb and forefinger. The thought, "God will take care of you," came immediately to my consciousness. A Christian Science practitioner who was called made a statement of Truth and promised to help me. As it was time to retire, I did so and went to sleep. In the morning when I awakened there was no evidence to indicate that the pick had ever entered my hand. This experience meant much to me, because it was such a definite proof of the presence of God, Truth, "who healeth all thy diseases" (Ps. 103:3).

Christian Science helped me in my studies. One experience in particular occurred when I was taking a course at a business college. It was the first time I had studied shorthand, and although the preparatory lessons were interesting and easy for me, gaining and maintaining speed in writing were not so easy. In turning to Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I found this reference (p. 283): "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action." This passage exactly met my need, and by keeping it in thought I was enabled to complete the required work and gain the desired speed in less time than was usually required.
