It has been my good fortune to have had Christian Science all my life and by reason of the protective power of Truth to have been exempt from most of the troublesome problems and diseases accredited to childhood. In the Sunday School I was taught how to apply the teachings of Christian Science. I count this a great blessing, for which I shall never be able to express enough gratitude to our Father-Mother God.

During my school years and in the business world I have used the truth to assist me in overcoming weariness and a tendency to faint. The latter difficulty was mastered by learning to reflect more love toward my friends and business associates. I was told by a practitioner to seek more understanding of man, as he is defined by Mrs. Eddy on page 591 of Science and Health: "The compound idea of infinite Spirit; the spiritual image and likeness of God; the full representation of Mind." As I dwelt on this definition while on the bus going to work and then put its meaning into practice during the day, I began to understand that this was my real being and also that of my brother man. Criticism melted away, and I gained more compassion for my fellow beings. Greater strength and increased capacity for work resulted.

I am grateful for the orderly unflodment that comes in Christian Science, illustrating Mrs. Eddy's statement (ibid., p. 444), "Step by step will those who trust Him find that 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' "
