I am deeply grateful to God for Christian Science and the many blessings that it has brought to me and mine in a period of over thirty years. I am also duly grateful to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to Mrs. Eddy, our beloved Leader. One of my most cherished blessings was the privilege of class instruction. Another was the joyous experience of teaching in the Sunday School for many years. This was a means of valuable growth in patience and compassion.

When Christian Science found our family we were in a pitiful state of misery, lack, and illness. It was "with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm" (Deut. 26:8) that God came to our rescue. We were led to try Christian Science because of my mother's illness, which doctors pronounced very serious and which they said necessitated an operation immediately. The operation never was performed, however, because my mother began to learn the truths of our wonderful healing religion. Gaining her freedom was a long and arduous task, but she was victorious.

My sister and I also took up the study of Science and were healed of tuberculosis, which, according to the doctors, was expected to be fatal in a short time. Our diligent study of the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's writings, together with our desire to help others in need, brought our own healing. I was also healed of constipation, hemorrhoids, influenza, sore throat, colds, and daily headaches.
