GOD'S CONTINUAL ALLOWANCE

In the Bible we read (II Kings 25:30), "And his allowance was a continual allowance given him of the king, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life." What a feeling of confidence and security can be gained when this statement is understood in a more spiritual sense! Restated in the light of the teachings of Christian Science, it would read, "And man's spiritual substance is a continual allowance given him of God, a daily rate for every day, all the days of his life."

How assuring and comforting it is to know that there is always available to us an inexhaustible spiritual source which is pouring out a continual and continuous supply of good, of truth, life, and love. This is indeed God's daily allowance which is given to all His children, impartially and universally.

As the scientific truth is understood that man, the spiritual image and likeness of God, cannot be separated from God for one instant, one can demonstrate with absolute certainty that his God-given allowance or supply of spiritual ideas can never be cut off or depleted. In fact, it can be proved that his supply is ever present and available. Because divine Love's affluence is omnipresent and infinite, nothing can impede, check, interrupt, or delay this outpouring of Love's unlimited abundance.
