CHRISTIAN SCIENCE APPLIED TO SCHOOLTEACHING

With what gratitude can the student of Christian Science who is a schoolteacher attest to the inestimable value of this Science in his work. It enables him to face with confidence the various problems associated with the schoolroom. It takes away any sense of drudgery from the work, replaces monotony with perpetual freshness, and helps to ensure a happy class of pupils, working diligently and giving expression to the best within themselves.

It may be asked, "How do we achieve such results through Christian Science?" The answer lies in spiritualizing our concept of our work and everything connected with it by realizing that the divine activity is actually ever present. This is done by earnest study of the Bible, in conjunction with the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

In this textbook our Leader writes (pp. 109, 110), "The three great verities of Spirit, omnipotence, omnipresence, omniscience,—Spirit possessing all power, filling all space, constituting all Science,—contradict forever the belief that matter can be actual." It is the understanding of these "three great verities of Spirit" that arms the Christian Scientist with wisdom to deal effectively with all so-called classroom problems.
