For over forty years Christian Science has been my only physician, and I have had numerous healings. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." This was demonstrated in my experience when I was left with four sons to raise. They were healed of effects of accident and of contagious diseases. One of them was healed of diphtheria in two days.

While delivering papers, one of the boys was struck by an automobile. He was brought home by a doctor, who had been called by the driver. The doctor said he had a concussion and should have medical treatment, but I told him we were Christian Scientists. A practitioner was called, and in a few days the boy was all right and back in school. The children were wonderfully protected while I was obliged to be away at work. As Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

One of my sons was rejected by the Army because of tuberculosis. Treatment was taken up by a practitioner, and when he later was examined by the physician at the plant where he worked, he was declared to be in sound condition.
