Christian Science has been a great help to me for many years. I did not come to it for physical healing, but because I did not find satisfaction in the church I was brought up in. The Bible appeared so contradictory that I did not care for it. But when I became interested in Christian Science my idea of the Bible completely changed, and in conjunction with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy I have found it most inspiring.

About three years ago my knee became very painful, and I found it difficult to walk. I tried to work for myself as we are taught to do in Science, but the pain still persisted. Then I asked a Christian Science practitioner for treatment, and I received such wonderful help that I lost all sense of fear and in a short time was normal again. I have also been healed of a broken wrist without surgical aid.

When I came to Christian Science I was a heavy smoker. I was healed in one treatment. That was several years ago, and I have never had any desire to smoke since. I have been greatly helped by knowing that man reflects God. Mrs. Eddy writes on page 489 of Science and Health, "How can man, reflecting God, be dependent on material means for knowing, hearing, seeing?"
