THE AUDIENCE CHAMBER

Consider the nature of the perfect Mind expressed by perfect spiritual intelligence. This Mind is God, the creator. There is no corporeality in this great First Cause. Does not the infinite, incorporeal Mind know all good and supply it? As students of Christian Science are we not conscious of the facts of Love's infinite provision? Man is endowed with an abundance of blessings which cannot be assessed. The laws of God encompass and uphold him. He feels their action; he lives to express them.

We have a right to live under God's laws, and no other. Who or what says we are frail mortals governed by material and erroneous influences? Not God, the Lawgiver, but mortal mind, the fiction-monger, which sells spurious mental merchandise to those foolish enough to purchase it. We place no value on its lies; we do not believe in them. We know that man lives in Truth and is thus in God's presence.

Let us turn out of our thinking all that would deny or oppose the health, harmony, and happiness of man. Working out one's salvation means learning to understand the truth and refusing to believe in the lie. And we increase our understanding of the truth by using it. If we were never to listen, would we ever hear? One says, "I listen for the voice of God, but I do not hear it." Perhaps we need to know what we are listening for and what we expect to hear.
