For many years Christian Science has blessed my life. There have been numerous physical healings. More and more I have come to realize that Science is a practical religion, for there is no experience too small or too large to bring into the light of this truth. I have found it helpful to think of the exactness of Christian Science. In mathematics we know that three times three is nine—not eight, not ten. Our results are right when, and only when, we adhere strictly to the principle of mathematics. Nor can we make departures, even though they be tiny ones, from the truth of being and get harmonious results in Christian Science.

I wish to tell of an experience that brought this very forcibly to my attention. At the high school where I teach, a purse with a large sum of money disappeared. Several different girls were under suspicion, but there was little evidence to go on. I turned my thoughts to God, knowing that He would show me the way to proceed. Conference after conference was held with the various girls in question, and yet little progress resulted.

That night when I went to the Wednesday evening testimony meeting I was so weary that I was not aware of what was being read from the desk. I heard the words of the testimonies, but not the truth being voiced. The problem was weighing me down. Then I began to talk to God in this way: "Dear God, it is right for all of us to be here, and it is right for us to be receptive to the good being expressed. We are in Your care, and You know all there is to know."
