I desire to bear witness to the glorious proofs I have had of the healing power of Christian Science. Over a period of twenty-two years this Science has sustained me. Despair, unhappiness, and self-pity have yielded to the loving ministrations of Truth and Love, as brought forth by Mary Baker Eddy's discovery of Christian Science.

My earliest experience in Christian Science came when I was in hospital and medical science had pronounced my case hopeless. I was raised from a bed of sickness through the gracious and loving help of a practitioner, whom I asked to visit me on the recommendation of a dear friend. Through courage, patience, love, and utter trust in God and the teachings of Mrs. Eddy this practitioner enabled me to comprehend Mrs. Eddy's inspiring words in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 1), "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love." I am grateful that I was ready to listen to healing messages from God and so be led into freedom and harmony.

Various problems have been harmoniously worked out through the help of a practitioner and also through the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, the precious Christian Science periodicals, and attendance at Christian Science services and lectures. For the many blessings of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for every other avenue for good in our movement, I record deep gratitude.
