I am very grateful for the healing...

I am very grateful for the healing of a sprained ankle which took place when I was a rather new student of Christian Science. The sprain did not cause me very much discomfort at first, other than a slight limp. Members of the household where I was employed asked me why I was limping. Each time I was asked, I admitted I had sprained my ankle. After dinner I felt it was wise to ask the help of a practitioner. Soon after calling her I realized that all day I had been affirming an error, instead of denying it. It came to me very clearly after I had retired that nothing really had happened or could happen to God's child. I fell asleep, and in the morning there was no remembrance of the incident.

At another time I had a wonderful proof of God's ever-present supply. I had arranged to take up new work in another city after the first of the year and was expecting a certain sum of money to be paid me on the first day of January. This I was counting on to buy some articles which I thought that I would need in my new work.

The one who owed the amount derived part of his income from rents. He called me to tell me he would not be able to pay the amount as expected, owing to a change in tenants and a need to renovate before the house could be rerented. He expected it would not be rented again before February.
