Dedicatory services for the new edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Littleton, at S. Sherman Avenue and Lilley Street, will he held Sunday, June 27, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Occupied for the first time in April of 1951, the new church ... seats more than one hundred and forty people and is conveniently arranged for the free exercise of its many facilities. ...

Sunday's event marks another step in the continuous progress of Christian Science in this community. The religion was introduced to Littleton in 1905, when a group of church members in Denver volunteered to conduct Sunday afternoon services in the home of an interested student. As services continued and the congregation grew, arrangements were made to hold them in the Woodman Hall. Shortly after, they were moved to the J. D. Hill Building which was remodeled for church services.

By March, 1906, a Sunday School was started. ... In 1909 a Reading Room was opened for the general public, providing facilities for reading or borrowing authorized literature on Christian Science. In November of that year, the group was recognized by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, as Christian Science Society, Littleton. ...

The first public lecture on Christian Science was given by the society in March, 1910. ... In 1926 the society purchased the corner lots for the new building. ... In 1949 it became First Church of Christ, Scientist, Littleton.
