It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I wish to testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Through the study and application of this glorious truth I have had many healings, my needs have been abundantly met, and many false traits of disposition have dropped away. When I first began the study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I had no thought of physical healing, but when I had read one third of the book, I realized that I had been completely healed of migraine, or nervous headaches. These headaches had attacked me since childhood with increasing frequency and great pain. The healing happened some thirteen years ago, and there has never been a recurrence.

For protection from a boiler explosion, my gratitude is unbounded. The explosion occurred directly under my office. It blew the studding from my walls against the opposite walls of the adjoining rooms, and plaster fell from the ceilings in each room. Although debris fell near, it did not touch me or my desk. This was a clear proof of the Bible promise (Ps. 121:7), "The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil."

My darkest hour came with the sudden passing of my husband. At first I was overwhelmed with a sense of grief and despair. Then I began to reason that God is All-in-all and that God's idea, man, is immortal, spiritual, and perfect, never passing through death, but forever at one with God. As I continued to work with the truth, a sense of loss yielded to the understanding of divine Love, which quieted all fear. This healing of grief has been permanent.
