For the following experience and many other blessings which Christian Science has brought into our home, as well as for what it is so broadly doing in the world, I am profoundly grateful to God.

Several years ago I lost the use of my right arm because of arthritis. The condition grew steadily worse. Recalling that a few years previously one of my associates, a violinist, had been compelled by a similar condition to give up his professional work, I was in a very disturbed state of mind. I could not accept the idea of continuing in my chosen profession as a musician under such a handicap; so I began making plans to enter another field of work.

One morning I went to the office of a Christian Science practitioner and stated my problem. He handed me the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and closed his eyes in silent prayer. After a brief period he indicated that the treatment was over and told me not to be afraid. We shook hands, and I left. As I was nearing my residence I was brought to a standstill by the realization that I had shaken hands, something I had not been able to do for some time. The glorious truth came to me: I was healed! The rest of the way home I felt as if I were walking with billows of air beneath my feet. There has been no recurrence of the arthritis.
