TRUE LOVE IS ALWAYS DIVINE

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, makes the following reassuring statement (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."

This selection from Science and Health, together with correlative passages from the Bible, appears on the walls of many Christian Science churches throughout the world. It is natural that such an all-inclusive declaration as this statement by our Leader should have a universal appeal and command acceptance not only now but for all time. This affirmation is proved to be demonstrable beyond all doubt. It is a call to enlarge faith in and devotion to the truth of God's inevitable and eternal maintenance of His perfect creation, the sons and daughters of God.

Because this passage from Science and Health is quoted so often, its promise is sometimes taken for granted. However, at some time or other there comes to each one the need for honest appraisal and convincing proof of the underlying basis for such a strong assurance of God's omnipotent care.
