My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the dear ones who introduced my husband and me to Christian Science. For three years prior to that time, one or another of the members of my family had been in the hospital or under a doctor's care. It is with gratitude that I can say that since finding the truth we have not relied on material means of any kind. Even though we still have our trials and problems, they are all being overcome through reliance on God, who is indeed "a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1).

Through Christian Science my family has been healed of pneumonia, influenza, indigestion, burns, cuts, insect bites, colds, and many other physical ailments, as well as of many bad habits, including smoking. We have improved physically, morally, and spiritually through our better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him, as taught by our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, in Science and Health.

The healing that stands out most to me was that of our son, who had the symptoms of appendicitis and pneumonia. Because of our fear for him, we called a practitioner, and through her loving and patient treatment he experienced a beautiful healing. It was not instantaneous, but day by day progress was made both physically and spiritually. I am grateful for this healing because it proved to us very clearly the efficacy of divine Love.
