The desire has come to me to tell of my first experience in Christian Science, and immediate healing of a growth at the base of my tongue. This healing came through the faithful work of a practitioner when I was a child.

My uncle, a prominent throat specialist, had treated me for some time without giving me any relief. Friends of my family asked that I be allowed to come to their home in neighboring city and try Christian Science. Upon my arrival at our friends' home I was taken to a practitioner for help. The next morning I awoke to find that my healing was complete. I remained a month with these friends, during which time I learned much about Mary Baker Eddy and her great gift to humanity.

For many years I have turned to Mind for help in all my problems, moral, physical, and financial, and I have always received help. Some of the healings have been instantaneous, others have been slow, but every experience has been a glorious unfoldment of Truth and a convincing proof that, as Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care."
