About six years ago I was very ill with hemorrhoids. The doctor said the I should have an operation but that my age and serious heart attacks prevented it. He could do nothing for me.

Then a Christian Scientist sent me some Sentinels and a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as other authorized literature. When I commenced to read the literature I thought, "What a beautiful religion;" and as I continued I began to feel mentally uplifted and physically better. The Christian Scientist also sent me loving letters from time to time, and they were a great help to me. I thank God that I was brought back to health. The hemorrhoids were healed, and the heart attacks ceased.

I have also been healed of gallstones, a crushed hand, and a scalded foot. Following and accident, wounds on my leg became infected. I read a testimony in the Sentinel and also tried to realize that only divine activity was taking place. When I looked at the leg an hour and a half later, the inflammation was gone and the wounds were healed over. I said to my husband, "That is God's work," and he agreed. Because I felt very near to God I shall always remember this wonderful healing.
