RESOLUTION

Nanette Nelson Melvin

I WILL not hug about me
The tattered cloak of pride.
The shame, the hurt and sorrow,
I will not seek to hide.
I'll cast them far behind me
That I may bring to light
The child my Father fashioned,
Arrayed in shining white.
