My faith in God was disappearing...

My faith in God was disappearing before Christian Science came into my life. To learn through this Science of a God who is Love, who has not created evil and does not have any knowledge of evil, was a wonderful experience that filled me with deepest gratitude. An enlarged understanding of the unreality of evil came to me through pondering the Bible verse (James 1:17), "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and commeth down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."

I have had many wonderful proofs of the healing and protecting power of Christian Science. It has helped me in my work when trying conditions have had to be overcome. Very often a verse from one of Mrs. Eddy's hymns has changed discord into harmony and has given me a wonderful feeling of God's ever-presence. Many healings have been experienced through the consecrated work of other Christian Scientists, and I can never be grateful enough for all the love and patience they have shown me in their endeavors to teach me more about God's omnipotence and love.

Through Christian Science I have learned that, as Mrs. Eddy states in Science and Health (p. 225), "Love is the liberator." This truth has been proved to me several times. I should like to relate one such experience, which I had a few years ago.
