Over fifty years ago Christian Science came into our home at a time when seven physicians had declared that my mother was dying of heart trouble. My father consented to Christian Science treatment for her, stating that he would try "even that," and Mother was completely healed. At the same time she was freed of the need for glasses. A short time afterward she gave birth to twins. One of the physicians previously mentioned refused to believe this could be true of his former patient and went to see for himself. On seeing my mother and the babies in good health he said, "I take off my hat to Christian Science."

After completing my Sunday School training it was my privilege to become a member of The Mother Church and a branch church and to have class instruction from a devoted teacher. My family and I have experienced healings of many kinds, both through our own understanding and through that of Christian Science practitioners, who are always ready to help suffering humanity.

A beautiful proof of the healing power of Christian Science came to me several years ago, when I was struggling with a severe case of kidney infection. A member of my family called a physician without my knowledge. When he came to my room I told him immediately that I was a student of Christian Science and that I was not only depending on it at the time, but was also expecting a healing. He stated that the condition was so far advanced that he would not consider treating me except in a hospital and that he was quite positive I would not consider going there. Finally he said, "I am confident you will have your healing, because I can see that you are sincere about Christian Science."
