MAN IS ALWAYS SAFE
IN divine Science, man is always safe. For man, God's reflection, to be in danger, God would have to be in danger; and that is impossible because God is omnipotent good, All-in-all. Therefore, in reality, we are ever secure because of His allness.
How can this protective spiritual knowledge be practically utilized? Christian Science explains that what we think determines our experience. Accordingly, flawless spiritual understanding of perfect God, Spirit, and perfect spiritual man in His image and the demonstration of these facts in our actions and characters exclude all untoward circumstances from our affairs.
Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" (p. 210), "Good thoughts are an impervious armor; clad therewith you are completely shielded from the attacks of error of every sort." The source of all good thoughts is God; and we receive God's, Mind's, ideas through divine Science. Thus it is clear that our safety lies in divine Science. In other words, protection from false belief, or error, is found in our realization of what is true of God, of His man, and of His spiritual universe.
