An Enlightening Visit

A student of Christian Science writes:

My visit to the Christian Science pavilion at the Rhodes Centenary Exhibition in Bulawayo coincided with that of three young men— Rhodesians—who said they had found this little room, on more than one occasion, something of a haven of tranquillity and shade in the heart of the Exhibition's flamboyancy and brilliance.

This simple pavilion is set at the meeting place of paths leading from the "African Village," from the large Theatre Royal, and from the "Hall of Industries." Thousands of visitors from all over the world pass by the pavilion daily, Many, lured perhaps by the shade of a large Msasa tree in the center of the garden forecourt, come into this room to rest, to talk, and to read the Christian Science books, pamphlets, and periodicals, including The Christian Science Monitor, arranged on the tables beside chairs set about the room—all of these loaned by members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Bulawayo.
