Gardena, California (First Church).

Dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Gardena, will be held in the church edifice at 1655 West Compton Boulevard Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Incorporated in 1912 as Eighth Church of Christ, Scientist, Los Angeles, a branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, the church held its services for many years at 846 West 161st Street. In later ears, when the necessity for larger and more modern quarters became evident ..., a building committee was formed in November, 1949. In April of the following year the present building site ... was purchased.
