BLESSED CHRISTMAS PEACE

How great is love that it should now unfold
The truth of God that blesses all with good,
Uplifting men when it is understood,
Preventing war and forces uncontrolled.

Love lights mankind like dawn, and love will hold
Men far and wide in warmest brotherhood;
Love, paramount in every neighborhood,
Will warm our hearts like rays of morning gold.

Such love was known to lowly shepherds when
The holy Christmas angels promised peace.
Still do men seek, and still the star is there
To lead wise men to Truth and Love; again
We find the dear Christ there, and strife will cease,
For peace is waiting and will come through prayer.
