FRANCES FACES UP

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Frances attended the Christian Science Sunday School and had had many proofs of the healing power of the truth—the truth of the one perfect creator, God, and of His perfect creation, man. One day Frances learned a lesson that she knew would be helpful always. She learned how to face up to error and get the victory.

Frances knew that error has in reality no life and no name of its own because it is not from God; and so it is nothing. But she also knew that error never admits that it is nothing. Instead, it pretends to be something very big and important and calls itself fear, hate, disobedience, or pain. This last name was what error called itself to Frances one day. It seemed to say, "My name is pain, and I am in your body; and you can't go to school until you get rid of me."
