Let the heavens rejoice, and let...

"Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad" (Ps. 96:11). In counting the blessings that the study and application of Christian Science have brought me and mine over the years, I realize that my written expression of gratitude and joy is long overdue.

For many years Christian Science has been the only physician for our family of five, and we have experienced many blessings through its study and application. Healings of pneumonia, whooping cough, food poisoning, influenza, infection, and a crushed hand have been evidenced through the knowledge and insistence that God is All-in-all. So-called children's diseases have been overcome, some instantaneously.

Through the help of a practitioner and our complete reliance upon God as ever-present Love our son was healed of polio almost instantaneously at the very time the symptoms were the worst. The condition disappeared without leaving a mark of any kind as we held to the Bible declaration (Ps. 121:1), "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help," and to this statement from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 495): "When the illusion of sickness or sin tempts you, cling steadfastly to God and His idea. Allow nothing but His likeness to abide in your thought. Let neither fear nor doubt overshadow your clear sense and calm trust, that the recognition of life harmonious—as Life eternally is—can destroy any painful sense of. or belief in. that which Life is not."
